Update

So lets see whats new. We'll we are now in santa monica area working at cafeFX south, We're Expecting a baby sometime in January, I'm attempting to purchase film rights to a book series, and hmm idk what else lol.

Its been really nice having a normal work day for this project. I'm sad that it probably won't last but man its been so nice to have some time in the morning to just chill and still have time at night too. I'm kinda worried about the whole baby/money/insurance thing but oh well I guess there's not much I can do about it at this point. I'm looking forward to finally seeing this little person. The ultra sound is scheduled for the Saturday after this one I think. Its been more than a little surreal not really seeing much evidence of a person there. Hopefully seeing it will help put things into a little bit better perspective lol.

Another thing that having more time off work has been that I feel like my creative juices are really coming back (red cliff killed them for a while). I'm having quite a few ideas that I want to create in either CG or live action. I'm also working on trying to get film rights to a book series that I would really enjoy filming. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

So yeah anyways thats about it for the update. guess you'll have to catch me later. Cheers.

We live in a day and age where the concept of taking responsibly for our actions is completely foreign to us. We do everything we can to avoid it we pay people extremely large amounts of money to get away from dealing with our own actions. We pay car insurance so that if we make a mistake we don't really have to pay for the damages we cause. If we have an unborn baby that doesn't fit into our life plan we simply pay someone to MURDER it! We pay lawyers to lie for us if we commit a crime to get us off the hook. If we have any inconvenience there's normally always some solution that we can buy so someone else can deal with our own problems that we caused! How about for once people stop blaming everyone else and why don't you point that big over fed self-indulging finger at your self and take responsibly for your own fucked up life that you've created and act accordingly!!!!!!

Great Alien Spheres!

Well not much time to post an update but wanted to share a new 3d creation that I worked up in Lightwave. Consider it my stress relief. Wow my stress is really ugly if this is what came out of it but anyways. Things are going ok I guess. Just a lot to deal with and worried about work stuff and if I'll have a job soon lol. Anyways just hope it all works out so I can take care of my growing family. :)

Update

Just a quick update. So first and foremost it appears that we are going to be having a baby sometime in January next year. Very exciting news! in other news work is insane. Very long hours lately but hope to finish up around the 18th. My bottom wisdom teeth seem to be coming in and all my teeth are shifting since theres no room. Quite painful but not much I can do about it. I'm sure a doc will just say i need surgery to get them out but I can't afford that without insurance. ah well such is life.

Linds seems to be feeling better so thats good. Hope to see in two days how things are going baby wise. *fingers crossed* well thats me off for the night.

New beer of choice for the US

The other day I was walking through the store and noticed a beer called "Porter" of course I had to pick up a 6 pack since my middle name is porter. I wasn't expecting too much since I've pretty much given up on beer in America. However after drinking a few I've grown to quite enjoy it. Again its no match for a good Guinness in the UK but has some great qualities to it. I really like the bitter dark chocolate taste in particular. Anyways thought i'd share. Also as I have just discovered make sure to pour this beer into a glass to let it breath if you get it bottled. So much better that way!

Cheers,
Simon

p.s. you can read more about the origins of porter beer here:

New Hair And New Hat

So I needed a hair cut + I don't like to pay for a fancy one + my wife got a razor set that we thought would work out great for a nice little haircut........ Yeah well it turned out the razor set was really crappy and my hair felt like it was being pulled out more than cut. Linds was using the razor at first but I decided to take matters into my own hands since things were going slow. Well they went faster but not much better. I think the images are proof enough that from now on I'll just pay some poor soul to cut my hair. Good thing I got a new hat from Pandora ( www.pandora.com ) for making some suggestions about their software. I'll be wearing it for the next few weeks. :)
